Miami Reggae Fest logoRockers Movement, a staple of the South Florida entertainment community since 1988, has over the years brought us a number of events including One Love Nutrifest, Miami Reggae Festival, Bayside Rocks Festival and Reggae Carifest. These shows have featured top artistes such as Stephen Marley, Bunny Wailer, Toots and the Maytals, Steel Pulse, Marcia Griffiths, Morgan Heritage, Luciano, Midnite, Causion and Warrior King.  Under the proven leadership of Alfonso D’Niscio Brooks, formerly of St. Maarten (St. Martin), Rockers Movement has maintained its devotion to empowering the community through the universal language of music, as well as the arts and cultural media. It’s Mission Equation: Enabling Change + Creating Solutions = Community Empowerment. The festivals aim to inspire people to give of themselves to help make the world a better place to live in. According to the directors of Rockers Movement, “We’re accomplishing this task by spreading art, culture and music while offering relief and humanitarian aid.”Miami Reggae Fest 2013

There is an overarching focus on using entertainment to improve the quality of life of underprivileged, under-served and vulnerable children, in addition to promoting innovation, philanthropy, leadership, cross-cultural understanding and volunteerism. The Rockers Movement lives out its call to action, “The greatest gift we can offer people – and ourselves – is the empowerment that comes from knowing we can make a difference, and that we are in fact, making a difference.” In this way Rockers Movement actively differentiates itself and its entertainment products from conventional concerts and non-profit organizations. In addition to the stellar performances of international artistes reflective of our landscape, Rockers Movement offers diversity in entertainment and activities through an artisan village of fine arts and visual arts, an ethnic food village, Artecology Experience that includes workshops with interactive and educational games for kids about recycling, reusing and reducing, AEROGA ® Yoga in the Park, Bike Valet, Promoting Environment, Health & Nutrition, Community Activism, Art Programs, Sustainability & Consciousness Workshops, Composting, Agriculture, Holistic & Natural Sciences, Poi & Hula Hoop Workshop, Drum Circle, Dance & Movement, Live Painting, Recycling Stations, Interactive Games, Massages, Meditation, Face & Body Painting, and more.Bayside Rocks Logo

The special events of Rockers Movement also provide opportunities for patrons to join the movement and participate in humanitarian aid relief efforts. Rockers Movement has continued to grow its relationship with Feeding South Florida. Attendees at events are usually encouraged to contribute non-perishable food items as part of the cost of admission.

Another aspect to this magnanimous mission is Rockers Movement Merchandise: fashion-forward shirts, caps, accessories, along with posters and stickers that share the Rockers Movement message with the wider community.
